1999 S80 electrical shut down while driving.

As of late while driving my 1999 S80 it seems the electrical shuts down while driving. The car still drives as this happens, but my gauges will turn off, the lights will flicker, ac shuts off, sometimes random messages will appear and when it starts I hear what sounds like 2 clicks. The other day while this was occurring I pulled over to turn the car off, as I took the keys out I could here clicking going on. Any ideas on what this could be? Simple fix or dealer fix? Any insight would be appreciated.

BATTERY? Sounds like its discharging.

I would second the Battery comment, but it could also be the alternator. If it's the alternator, I just did mine on a 1999 S80 T6 and it was not a terrible job. The battery is pretty simple to replace.
