Hi, My 94 850 turbo has been running sweet after a HG change (just a couple of leaks on the oil cooler lines)
The dipstick was pretty cruddy after the new HG and intial fill with fresh oil. Oil filler cap and cams all clean.
I have now done a flush, oil and filter after say 500kms and sprayed some degreaser down the dipstick hole too.
The oil that came out was dirty and a little foamy but what you would expect with a flush.
Problem is there is mayo back on the dipstick.
Will this eventually clear?, is there a little pocket for the stick in the sump that might be holding this stuff or is it a symptyom of something still leaking coolant into the oil?
The car runs great, stable temp, no ccolant loss.
Still Mayo on the stick after HG change ?

Is the PCV system ok? Take it for a LONG drive and then look at the stick. My T5 has a less than efficient PCV at present and after a lot of short runs the dipstick gets covered in goo. A long drive (Napier to Taupo return) had it clean again.

I am serious.
If you had so much crud and crap inside your engine you need something to loosen it to get it out.
Just because your oil passages are now clear, the crud remains
Do a $10 SEAFOAM treatment. You won't believe how much better your car will run afterwards and hopefully the stuff will start to get dislodged out.
You may need to do it twice
