Adding a center speaker without dolby stereo

I work at a volvo dealer and i just purchased a 2000 s80 and i wanted to add a center as i am also adding an aftermarket headunit. Would it work if i tapped into one of the other speaker channels to power the center speaker or would it sound weird being that its not a true center speaker? i tried to ask the volvo parts support but they couldnt help me

I guess if u were to tap the particular speaker u want. You would on get that particular signal. Example if you were to use the left front, simultaneously both speakers would work wen it gets the signal. If I were you, I would buy a head unit that supports Dolby digital and try hook it up in that way.
