2007 XC90 Oil Pressure Light Missing?

Post by samird »

Hoping this hasn't been addressed before. Just got a 2007 CPO XC90, and I noticed that when you put the key in, all warning lights come on, except for the oil pressure light. Called the dealer, and he said he checked other XC90's, and according to him, the others also the oil light wasn't coming on with the other lights. Am I making sense? Is what's happening making sense? Is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

There is no oil pressure warning light on an XC90 with the 3.2 engine. Only low oil level warning.
The tech info on that engine says that it has a high volume pump and the pump was capable of making enough air pressure to keep light off so the oil pressure switch was rendered useless.

If there's no low oil pressure light, how can you tell if the oil pressure is too low?

HI, I have a 2004 T6 XC90, and had the ¨no oil pressure, stop the engine safely¨ but this light came very intermittent I mean, I did read it because it flashes like 5 times very fast, but never stayed permanently. Weather was 25C or 77F, I was driving downhill with curves turns. This was 2 days ago, today I had the same light but only flashed 2 times and then disappeared.

Any help? Thanks.
