Forgive my ignorance, but.
It's a '98 V70, the coolant level is above Min., but below where I'd like it to be. What type of coolant can I use to top up? The manual says "Volvo", so I'm thinking I need to get it from a dealer? Is there an alternative?
Also, do I need to purchase wiper blades from a dealer or is there somewhere else. Thanks.
What Type Coolant?

Any coolant that is ethylene glycol based that is not labeled "Dex-Cool" will work. I think Prestone has one that is universal as it can be used for any make and model of car.

What is wrong with Dex-Cool? I believe this is the orange fluid? What can happen if you use it?

Yes, stay away from that stuff...the stuff you want is the flourescent green/yellow looking stuff. All compatible antifreeze will say "good for any radiator," or "will not harm aluminum radiators" on it. You don't have to buy the expensive Volvo stuff.

Dex-cool?? Just run a Google search on Dex-cool. Whatever you do, do NOT mix orange Dex-cool with the green stuff in your car.
I like Peak and Zerex.
