1992 240 wagon Auto Transmission Fluid.
I am confused as to which one to use- as I have seen different ones suggested.

DexronII/Mercon. You may fins this as a Universal fluid. Valvoline Max-Life is a good one that meets the specs and is widely offered in auto stores.

Volvo specified Automatic Transmission Fluid Dexron 11D in 1992. ATFs have improved over the years and you should now be looking at something like Valvoline MaxLife Dex/Merc. This is backwards compatible with Dexron 11D as are most of the new fluids. The label on the container should show you if the one you choose is compatible.

The transmission fluid on the 240 should be changed at 20,000 mile intervals.
