Sticky transmission Shifter

Hi,
I have a 98 V70XCI started having problems withe the shifter knob.some times the butto on the knob won't depress. When I wait a few minutes it works fine till I put it in park again. It works great after you start but once you put it in park it starts all over again. anyoe have a fix.
