Just installed a Cylinder head on Volvo 1996 960,replaced O2 sensors,Catalytic converter red hot. What would be dumping fuel. Car also knocks.
Any hints on the ususal suspects?

Is it a generic cat or one specific for the 960? Same question for the O2 sensors.

How is it running? Check for vacuum leaks, temp sensor, maybe even the knock sensors? How do you know it was glowing? Was it dark? Did it run a long time, would the convertor you took off glow? I don't know about that, never looked at a hot convertor at night.
It very well might be running lean, so check the vacuum lines, also check for functionality of the air valve in the air filter case, the one that will draw air from a hot exhaust manifold.

How do you know it was glowing? I was beet red in broad daylight
Did it run a long time, less than 10 min was trying to make sure pressure was up
