Zimmermann brake rotors. Where made? Website of factory

Post by dcarlson12 »

I bought rotors and pads from Autopartway.ca for my son's 96 850.
Now I am considering to use them for my wife's 97 850-T5.
The Autopartsway.ca site shows two part numbers for Zimmermann Coated Front Disc Brake rotor i.e. ZIC1856863 and ZIC1613083
Both are supposedly suitable for my wife's car but slightly different in price.
Tried to clarify with a chat to Autopartsway but the guy eventually just went off line because he couldn't answer the question.

Does anyone know where the Zimmermann factory is located or it just a clearing house which gets the rotors made in China or ???

Another site, Autopartswarehouse, couldn't give me an answer either and said they couldn't give me a link for Zimmermann because of privacy agreement, blah, blah, blah....

Anyone have link to Zimmermann factory website

Same with mine. What's the price difference you mentioned?

Price difference was $57.98 versus $55.76
Here is the link. I think they are the second and 9th items from the top.

This is the Canadian site so the prices are higher than the US site.

Two for the price of one. I shopped around this summer before taking the 850 wagon on a road trip. Ended up with rotors from JC Whitney. Not sure where they're made. I think the fronts were about $28.00 each. Shipping was free on a promotion they had going at the time. With about 3,000 miles on them, they seem to be performing well. It took the new pads a while to run in with the rotors, but with my Michelin 195-65 15's, that thing really stops when it needs to.

271788ZD was what I ordered (per FCP Groton).

They must have liked me that month. Within 30 days, I spent $650 there.
