I have a 1998 V70 AWD and have swapped in front seats from a 2000 V70R. I am planning on putting the seats from my 1998 into my 2003 Ford Focus wagon. My question is about the mechanical actuators on the 1998 seats. Can I disable the system by cutting the wires that run to the actuator without setting off the bag? I need to chop off the actuator if possible to allow the seat to fit in my Focus. Does anyone out there know? Thanks.
