Power Seat controller died

Post by steve3007 »

98 V70 T5

My passenger-side power seat controls stopped working the other day. NONE of the controls work any longer. I checked fuses, looked for loose/broken wires to the harness and confirmed that I have 12V into the module.

I'm inclined to replace the entire module but this seems a bit of an unusual failure - and likely a big $$$ part.

Is this known to happen much? Anything else to check?

THey do fail.
Usually not the entire switch but one control will stop working, then another.
Check the connection under the seat first, I had the same problem with my old 99 and it was the connector that came a bit loose
