I purchased new rear shocks for my 240. It looks pretty straight forward to replace, but when I tired with my basic hand tools it was a near impossible. Has anyone out there did this job?? any tips or tricks???
thanks

Work one side at a time.
Jack up the car and support it on an axle stand.
Remove the road wheel.
Jack up the axle far enough to compress the spring slightly
Spray the top and bottom bolts liberally with WD40 or similar and allow to stand long enough to take effect.
Remove the top and bottom bolts and the shock absorber.
Bill.
