Hello guys, I have the following problem with my wife's US spec 850: the rear seatbelt is simply not long enough to properly fit the child seat. Over here it is forbidden to fit the child seat onto the front passanger seat, so I need to find a way to properly fit it to the back seat...
Is there a longer backseat belt in EURO spec 850s, or in the newer 850s, or V70s and could they be installed into the 1994 850?
If so, how hard a task changing the belt will be?
Thanks in advance!

I have never seen a child seat that would not fit a child seat when properly routed. Are you sure you are routing the belt properly? Is it a convertible seat that can be either front or rear facing? I have seen where some people have tried to route to belt through the front facing holes when the seat was rear facing and had trouble.

Thanks for the answer!
It's front facing and there's only one way to route the belt... It has a safety cushion that needs to be used until the kid weighs at least 18kgs (approx. 40 pounds) that's causing the problem in the Volvo. I can properly use it in my car, but not in the Volvo...
