How often are you guys checking and replacing the brake pads? Mines deposit a lot of black brake dust on the rims (sign of fast wear?) and they seem to wear in a couple of months or so.... The thing is, over the course of the three years I've been driving my 740, I've replaced the front pads twice and haven't touched the rear pads yet.
Well, I know that the front brakes handle more of the stopping power due to the weight-shift during stops -- and I know that's how the hydraulic system portions brake power (70/30)? But my question is, could the front pads be working harder than usual because the rear pads not working as well?
