1998 V70- Should I change Transmission fluid?

Do NOT use the power flush.

What I did was:
- I use Mobil ATF (Synthetic). You will need about 10 qts.
- Disconnect Upper Cooler Hose, run engine and drain through it (run engine until bubbles come out).

1- Add 3qts through dipstick. Repeat draining through upper cooler line.
2- Add 3qts through dipstick. Repeat draining through upper cooler line.
3- Add 3qts through dipstick. Repeat draining through upper cooler line.

2. After completed, place a screw-type clamp around the factory clip holding the cooler line. This clip has a tendency to come out with time. NOTE the smaller end of the clip faces the radiator.

Is there some pictures or a tutorial anywhere to show me how to do the drain and fill on transmission of my 1998 V70?
I don't know what lines are the transmission fluid lines. Thanks All.

look under the car and find 24mm drain plug. loosen and remove when still warm. let fluid drain. refill fluid, about 3.5qt. use new gasket, same as alum. oil plug gasket. check level repeat next oil change.

I followed the tutorial on flushing by " madeinjapan" and it worked great. flushed about 10 qts through. Both cars seemed to shift smoother after flush

I bought a v70 2.5D from 2000 with 358.000 km, and an automatic gearbox that worked, but rattled and slammed, especially when switching at about 80 km/h. The Volvo garage that sold it to me aknowledged the problem at the sale, said they could do nothing about ist but switching the entire gear box. But it would still hold out 70.000 km or so.
At 405.000 km I had it power flushed, since then it workes like new. The stuff coming out of the gear box was the "worst the mechanic had ever seen", he said. Now at 455.000 km it is still all running smoothly as new. Going for the 500.000!

I use a mityvac to pull out a couple quarts from the drain, then refill with exactly was removed.
