1998 V70 XC leaking oil a lot! Coming out of the intercoole

I know the intercooler isn't supposed to have oil in it, so i'm guessing the turbo seals are bad inside? Any thoughts on this? It leaks out the front drivers side, out of the black plastic cover that covers the bottom of the intercooler and radiator. At first i thought it was the oil cooler, or oil cooler lines, but they're all clean and dry.

I'm a very handy guy, i've done engine swaps and things of that nature, i just don't know the details of this volvo

Clogged PCV system or broken vacuum hose at the PTC nipple.

It is tough to get it out of the hose. Use a good screw driver and don't be shy when using it to pry it out. Just don't cut the hose obviously.

It's the one with the two hoses connected to it above that. That elbow on the little hose breaks - a lot. Or the one at the left side of the intake manifold.

^^That's the link I meant to post above and forgot.

If the vacuum hose elbows break, they just need to be replaced. It is the PTC fitting itself that clogs up. Read through the tutorial - check for positive dipstick pressure. You can start with removing the turbo intake hose - an adventure by itself - and cleaning that PTC out and see if it helps with positive pressure any. If that doesn't help, you'll have to resort to removing the intake manifold and dealing with the oil separator box and cleaning out the ports down there.

It's really not a hard job with the right tools. It was much easier my 2nd time around.

Thanks for the help guys, i pulled the PTC out (way easier than pulling the turbo intake tube), i just pulled nice and easy, but hard and it popped out, putting it back in was a bit trickier, i ended up putting it on the bench grinder to remove about 1/8" of the plastic lip, then i put the rubber grommet in the hole first, and then it slid right in with some white lithium grease.

It was clogged solid! No more oil leak now!
