Car locked, Blinking Flashers Issue

So when I would lock my car, the flashers would blink a few times to indicate that my car had locked. Recently that has stopped working and I wondered what could be causing it. I have seen the thread about replacing the module since the battery leaks, but my alarm still works. So my question is, does the alarm work off the module too? if it does, then isn't there a different issue? Thanks dudes.

Fixed. The hood switch was not being switched when closed. If you look at the mechanism by the hood latch there is a metal tab that pushed a switch when closed. Bend the tab upward at the middle and it should solve your problem. I will take a pic later today and post it for you guys.
