Volvo 5 lug wheel bolt pattern. All the same?

Post by 2fixmybrick »

Hello, I need to replace the rims on my '89 240 because of corrosion, it has 14" wheels. I found a set of 15" rims from a mid '90's Volvo, 5 lug. Question is, are the bolt patterns all the same so they'll fit?

Welcome to the forum.

Offset is different b/w FWD and RWD Volvos. If you use FWD rims on your 240 your track (distance between centreline of wheels) will become smaller. This will adversely affect handing.

Spacers may be needed but beware that you buy hubcentric spacers which locate the centre hub correctly like those made by H & R Springs. I used 15mm spacers on my 960 for aftermarket wheels because of rubbing on the inside of the strut tower.

Refer the attached PCD list.
