Security prblem?

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Security prblem?

Im new to the volvo world. Just purchased a 1999 volvo s80 t6, and i believe im haveing a security problem. When you turn the key on it powers everything up like normal go to start it and not even a click from the starter, however i put a push button on the starter and it will turn the motor (with ignition on) but will not fire off. Is it a security or computer problem. Will be thankfull for any answers recived!!!

Are you able to get read any possible DTCs which might be stored? Eg. Immobilizer???
