Hi all,
My 98 S70's alarm is over-sensitive nowadays, the alarm is triggered whenever a car passes by. Does this car have a shock sensor, if yes is it adjustable for sensitivity? If no, what could be the issue? Thanks in advance for the answers.

That's a tough one and your problem is rare. I don't think they have a shock sensor. My guess is that one of your doors, trunk or hood latches are bad. Open and close all of them firmly and see if it repeats. Or, you can set the alarm and go around the car and bang on the doors 1 by 1 to see which one is bad.

Unforntunately, this is one of those problems that are tough to deal with online.
There are optional sensors for these systems, but we can't tell you if you have one.
You may also have something completely non-Volvo in that car. There's no telling.
You'll have to learn more about your individual system to diagnose the problem.
