Need help identifying a part.
Hello, i have a 1986 240 DL Volvo wagon and i'm having trouble with my car stalling when i slow down. while i was trying to figure it i discovered a part that was broken but i don't know what it is, Please help.

It looks like an aftermarket flame trap vac line adapter. Goes into the hose on the vapor separator box on side of block under #3 intake runner. The vac hose goes on inboard side of intake that faces the valve cover. The hose from the top of that fitting goes to the black plastic hose from MAF/air cleaner to throttle.

It is the flame trap. You can get it for pretty cheap:

If that is busted, you may want to take a look at the rest of the PCv system. The box under this piece gets very clogged up after a while
