INFO PLEASE

Post by hunter »

I just bought a 05 S60 and am not sure if I need to take it in for the regular mainteance (to a Volvo dealership) or just to a local shop. I am guesing it needs to be volvo, but not a 100% sure.

Everytime I have called I get the run a run (only 2 times)

Just got it Saturday!!

I really do like the car and glad that I found this forum.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

thank you

As it's still under warranty, you either need to use a Volvo dealer, or ensure that a independant volvo Garage or, just a local mechanic, follow the same servicing standards and use genuine Volvo parts to ensure the warranty remains Valid.

Using the Dealer will be the most expensive / your call on wether they provide better service/customer service compared to an independant.

No matter who services it, still get ya service book stamped. It's been shown that using independants rather than dealers does not make the car "worth" more when you come to sell/trade in.

I'd say, as you've just bought it...have a Dealer service it first time around as you know then where you stand- ie they will return it in perfect running order to their high standards. Depends on the mileage but for the age I'd say your looking at

She was messing with the windshield wipper and it popped of and the metal piece came back and crack it.

Have not had the car for a week yet; and already broke something.

hehe!!!

Funny, but I've owned four cars so far, and each one I've pranged in the first month! and then never again afterwards!

Just had a prang in the S60...not happy, got hit on a junction, show's Volvo's build quality though, damage to mind is cosmetic to the front bumper/headlight, their's ..needed a tow-truck.
