I know the rear doors and the rear deck are wired together. I am putting in a amp and want to keep them all functioning the same.
does anyone know how they are wired up? more to the point, the rear seem like they are not full range speakers as they are 8 inch . so there must be some type of xover or maybe just a filter in the system somewhere.
I want to do this with as little effort as possible. I am running new wire to the front as I am changing all of them out. I am not changing the rear just yet. I have been running all of them off my aftermarket deck until install of the amp.
car is a 99 s70
anyone know how the rear deck speakers are wired into system

The rear deck speakers are 8ohm and the door speakers are 8ohm. They are wired in parallel at a junction mid-way (mine is under the center console) making the head unit see industry audio standard 4ohm impedance at each channel.
I did a very similar thing and kept my head unit, kept my deck speakers and replaced the door speakers and added an amp. It worked phenomenally well.
