Hey guys,
The intercooler hose on my 06 xc90 is about shot and I need to order a new one. I checked on the myvolvopartsonline site and IPD. mvpol has the OEM hose but IPD has what they call an updraded hose. It's a silicon hose as opposed to the OEM. My question is.... do these work and fit just like the OEM. I like to keep the Volvo parts on the car but if it truly is an upgrade I'm not against it. I think the IPD hose is a few bucks cheaper as well.
Thanks in advance!

I too would like opinions on the FCPGroton fit versus IPD. In the not so distant past I read complaints on both vendor's silicone hoses, mostly having to do with difficulty of getting them on. It sounded like a wresling match with a greasy gorrila!
Can anyone share some recent insstallation experience for the FCP? (Their pricing is half of IPD's).

I got the IPD hose in and installed. My feelings are a little mixed on the hose. The one problem I've read about them is that they are a bear to install which in my case was not a problem. It took a little elbow grease but it went on in short order. What I have an issue with is their size. I think mine is to long. So much so that I can only get one of the torx screws back on the hard plastic tube that comes over the engine. If it were about a 1/2 inch shorter it would probably fit perfect. I've thought about cutting it to check the fit but I'm sure once I cut it it's mine for good. I'm going to call IPD and see what they offer as a solution before doing anything.
