New Owner of '94 940 - Power Lock Woes

Thanks Bill and "Señor Turkey," I haven't opened up the plastic cover on the relay, but I will soon; I'm pretty sure my cousins (with the four Volvos) have tons of soldering materials. In the meantime, I plan on stopping by a junkyard tomorrow where I'm pretty sure I "eye-spied" a 940 (or maybe a 740) sitting there awhile back. That leads me to yet another question.

I know I'll have to check the numbers to be sure, but does anybody know off-hand will the power lock relay from other RWD Volvo's work (like the 240, 740, 760, 960, etc.)? I only ask because I feel I'm more likely to find a 240 sitting there than a 940.

The 740 right back to 1984 has the same relay. 240, 760 and 960 are different.

Good news! I pulled the relay from an '89 745 GLE, compared it to my '94 945 and viola! I have power locks! I will never take them for granted again (especially when it's raining!). Thank you for all your help, not knowing much about electronics or RWD Volvos, you've been extremely helpful!
