Brake Booster

our brake booster is going out...how long until it is totally out and do you have to replace it? Also can you find one that is rebuilt or cheaper than going thru the dealer?

I made some calls when the brake booster was going out on our 2.4T. I was told that part can only come from Volvo. I ended up having the dealer do the work. I don't see any reason to wait on this one. There's not much upside and a whole lot of downside.
