02 S60 2.4 ABS/DSTC warning light on at +/- 195kph (121 mph)

Hi guys,

Last week as I was driving my 2002 2.4 S60 about 195 kph (120mph) I got the warning message ABS/DSTC failure, with both lights on the dashboard on. I slowed down a bit, cut the motor off while driving and put it back on. Warning lights were gone. I tried again to speed up, and again about the same speed the ABS and DSTC warning lights came on. I shut the engine off and started it again, alarm were gone. I tried it a third time, and again it happened...Afterwards, I just sticked to about 190kph, and no alarm came off. I already drove the car before about 210 kph (130mph) and it went just fine...
I didn't want to try to see if the abs still worked at 195kph, despite the lights on...But 50 kph, it works just fine!

Anyone an idea what to look for?

Problems with wheel speed sensor system get more sensitized with speed.
The best way to know for sure that is what you have is to get trouble codes read out.
Absent that and inspection and cleaning of sensors would be the next step. Use a wire brush to assure no rust "flowers" have grown out from the teeth on any of the tone rings that are on hubs.
If you have any rumbles of a bad wheel bearing that would also be a cause as a loose hub will let the teeth of the tone rings vary in distance from the sensors.
