Everyone of them seemed to be backwards. Anyway I have everything back to were it should be and it seems to be only running on cylinder 3 if that's even possible.
Don't take this the wrong way, but with only # 3 apparently firing correctly, I have to ask:
Which cylinder are you calling #1?

Just checkin' - At this point, I'm just asking all the questions.
Even if they are ticking a 'noid light, I'd still look at getting
this car on a box and taking a better look. Seems weird...

I'm just going to drive the rusty one for now. It's minus 50 right now and probably won't get any warmer until spring. It's definately a weird problem. I do this for a living and most times can figure out a no start or running rough condition within a few hours. I've owned all kinds of weird vehicle and most times bought them really cheap because they were just a dead vehicle just sitting there. Almost all cars are the same as far as what you need or need to look for to get the car running properly. This one has got me stumped.

My summer car is a nissan skyline gtr that I'm driving now in the winter(awd with some crazy winter tires) just until I get one of these volvo's on the road. My skyline has an injector leaking for some time now and I haven't even looked at it because this volvo is really getting to me!!

Anyway thanks for all the help for those who did, I will post any updates as I go. It's suppost to be somewhat nice this weekend and I'll probably end up going back into work to poke around some more with it.

Alright so it was sort of nice out the past few days so I tried poking around some more. I was having a problem with the ETM being stuck in limp mode and wouldn't rev past 2000 rpm. Just for fun I removed it and swapped it onto the good running car and there was no problem with the way the ETM, the car ran great like it does.

So I installed the ETM back on the rough running car and it's still stuck in limp mode. What else beside the ETM would cause a limp mode condition, I can rule out the ETM being the problem since it works good on the other car.

Try swapping over the the throttle position transmitter which is the electronic part connected to the accelerator pedal - Mike
