Stolen thread-update: After further investigation I think something is making the new timing belt be very close to the crank pulley? Like rubbing... The old rollers where not changed, they seemed fine to me, but now I am going to change them tonight and see what happens!

Second stolen thread-update: I just changed the tensioner roller, but the old idler roller seemed better than the new one, so that stayed on. They were marked "INA" I think, and the belt "Optibelt". Not sure if I should go to volvo and buy a new roller..

EDIT: I forgot to say that nothing changed, the belt is still just a little bit too close to crank pulley. Im going to try to get a picture tomorrow!

You cant really see how the belt is close/rubbed against the crank pulley, sorry. And anywhere else the belt is where its supposed to be.
Can a bad roller do this?

I dont know why I didnt do this earlier, I started the engine without the serpentine belt, it was quiet and the timing belt looked good.
So I will leave it alone and check it again later, and if the belt does not become thinner I guess all is well?

The end

1994 Volvo 850 (with 308,000 KM) Multiple checks found that the expansion tank leaked from an internal tube that houses the coolant level sensor.
Initially tank and hose to block replaced. Later hose from tank to thermostat replaced, due to seepage.
