I need some help with tires for my 2008 XC70. The original tires were Continental 215/65/16 102V. I replaced them with Cooper 235/60/16 100V. (Slightly wider, but basically the same size) They have been wearing fine but due to the speed rating, I feel they were a little hard riding. What are you using for tires? I would like to go back to the original size, but there's not alot to choose from in a V rated tire. Has anyone gone to an H rated tire? Do you feel any handeling difference?
Thank you,
Duke

I am not sure this is any help---but I have a 2009 V70 that had Michelein Pilot HXMXM4- 225-55-16 SL 95v that had 40,000 on them when I just changed them for another set--- quiet tire, good rain traction-- not to bad in NY snow either
I have the same tires and very happy with them.

Here are what the speed ratings mean:
S 112 mph 180 km/h
T 118 mph 190 km/h
U 124 mph 200 km/h
H 130 mph 210 km/h
V 149 mph 240 km/h
Since you have an XC70, I doubt you will be going fast enough to warrant V rated tires. You should be sble to find tires at a lower spped rating that will suffice. They will probably also be cheaper.
