92 960 Can the lock-up convertor be disabled in 3rd gear

Hey everyone, i was wondering if its possible to disable the lock-up converter in 3rd gear, this thing constantly engages than disangages, its fine in 4th gear. I just want to disable the application in 3rd gear, than let it apply in 4th. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

why don't you just turn off the overdrive, so that it stays engaged in third gear?
