hi! can anyone tell me how to reset a service needed light on a 1998 v70xc thanks

Sorry, no simple way I know of to reset the service light. As far as I know it requires the dealer's equipment to do it and it'll be back on again after 5K miles.

Do a search to find out how to access the lightbulbs on the back of your instrument panel, then, remove the service light bulb and keep it as a spare.

I believe it depends on the VIN early '98s need a reset tool where the latter '98s can be a DIY reset. As I recall it is explained on Volvospeed
