1995 850 Air Conditioning

My a/c has pin hole leaks in it. My repair guys charges me $200 bucks a year to seal it up to last me the summer. Other than replacing the entire system, is this the only solution?

The problem is the vehicle has over 200k on her and is only worth about $1,500 bucks. To do the entire AC will cost me at least that.

Let me know if anyone has any other solutions.

How does he seal it up? I've never heard that it will really work. I've only seen the evaporator replacement as the true fix. That's $1000-1200 if you're lucky....many places charge up to $1500....as the dash has to come all the way out.

I think we would all like to know what he uses! Certainly the chap who looks after my air con has never heard of anything like this and he has been in the trade for 25+ years.

If you can find out what it is let us know, please.

What about the Duracool System Seal stuff? It says that it's designed to fix small leaks... Eh, who knows.
