Is it possible to upgrade a 10valve saloon engine to a 20valve without replacing the whole engine?
Ultimately I want my 850 to move quicker...

Sure...K&N panel filter and downpipe. Yours doesn't have a turbo right? If it does, then silicone turbo hoses and/or bigger turbo. From all I've read, mods to a 10 valve are really the same as 20 valve. Your valves are just bigger....same displacement from what I understand.
Edit: I just noticed I didn't answer your question. No, you can't upgrade a 10 valve to a 20 valve without an engine swap. I thought you meant was there any way to make your car go faster. Sorry about that.
