I own a 1990 740 GL that has issues starting at times. (all the lights turn on)I recently had a keyless entry/remote start installed in it. I also had it taken to the shop where they said eveything was working fine(alternator, battery, ignition switch etc.) The manager of the shop said it could be alarm related..maybe from the keyless entry?
Please help! Thanks.

could be alot of things
fuel pressure relay (white behind ashtray second row)
hall pickup behind cylinder head on bellhousing check for deteriorateing wiring. If it is this one tach dies when engine dies
failing radio suppression relay usually near coolant overflow bottle supplies injectors with voltage. If there are two identical ones on coolant bottle you can switch and see if problem goes away.
and of course it could be your keyless entry/alarm or something I haven't thought of.
