Low oil pressure when warm

Post by Jay36 »

Hi,

I have a volvo v40 2litre turbo. I took it in for a oil leak. They replaced the seals by the cambelt. The oil cooler then started leaking, so I replaced that to. When they put it all together again, there was no oil pressure when the car was at temperature. It was also making a loud ticking noise at temperature as well. They cleaned the oil pick up. Still had the same issue. They then removed the sump and replaced the seals by the big end bearings? Can that be right? I am no mechanic. The same problem of no oil pressure when warm still persisted. They have now removed the oil pump and have put it in a acid bath to clean it up. Frankly I am doubtful if this will resolve any issues.

Does anybody have any ideas? Its to late for me to change mechanics. My mechanic is not a volvo specialist. He is a good guy and would not rip me off. Being going to him for years with all my cars. He just cant seem to find the issue.

Help!!

J
