MAF Sensor replace or clean?

MAF Sensor replace or clean?
After replacing my cam position sensor, crank position sensor and put in a new starter......then, experiencing rough driving and misfiring....realized gaps were FAR off....instead of .028 were about .350...WOW. Replaced plugs, regapped, and then found cracked rotor...replaced distributor cap and roter...runs great but now has MAF check engine light code. I was thinking of cleaning, but never have soooooo is that a better option than replacing? DOes it work? I love my 850 Turbo but seems like one thing after another now......also...has anyone personallly replaced the turbo vacuum hoses and how / what kind of project was that? I can do most work myself...the starter took me awhile but got it done. OH>>>>>>>>>there is a connector located down near the bottom of the radiator...I am not sure if I disconnected it and never reconnected it or what..but can't find where it connects. It is a round connector wrapped in wire protection like all the rest. I dont want to remove the fan shroud again..any suggestions on where or what that might go to? Could it cause the check engine light MAF sensor?

That connector may be for fog lights if your car doesn't have them equipped. Take a picture and post it up and someone may know.
It's worth a shot to clean the MAF sensor first. Get some MAF cleaner spray from the auto parts store, spray the guts of the sensor, and let it dry - don't touch anything inside! Buckle it all back up, put a zip-tie over the connector to hold it firmly on, and see if the code comes back or not. If it does, then it's time to replace it - OEM Volvo/Bosch only - the auto parts store crap just doesn't work.

the three black hoses that connect to the same area near the Distributor..i guess they are about 1/4 inch diameter?

The turbo control valve hoses are not hard with the exception of the red one to the bottom of the turbo. That one's somewhat of a PITA to reach.
Yellow goes to the turbo control valve, blue to the fresh air hose, red to the compressor side of the turbo.
It's 4mm vacuum line.

Nope, but the ports on the turbo control valve have colored dots on them.

also...when cleaning the MAF sensor...do you spray the connectors as well as the chip/sensor?

You can clean the connector with some rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip.
Just spray the inside with the MAF cleaner spray.

Great thanks! Now...pulling into my driveway car completely shut off. Could that be due to a bad MAF sensor?
