Hello,
I've been trying to find help with this everywhere.
I have a Volvo 940, the one with the central locking ability. This problem is I locked my trunk some months ago and can no longer open it. The key won't turn in the lock, but latch/handle will pull. I've tried it with the drivers door locked/unlocked, opened/closed; won't budge.
Anyone have an idea what's wrong or what I can do?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
How did you lock the trunk- with the central locking or the key?
Bill.

I locked the trunk with the key.
If your curious the key is inserted vertically, which means from the instruction manual, the trunk is now disconnected from the central locking feature. It's in "Lend to your Friend" mode.

are you sure you're not driving with the Valet Key? If your key doesn't lock or open the glove compartment either, then that would be the problem...
I would also spray some oil (lubricant) into the lock and see if it helps. But it might also be the locking mechanism stuck, in which case, if you do ever get the trunk open, you will need to lube the lock-catch device too...
