98 S90, What in the heck is going on?.....New to the forum and need help!
Car ran fine, stopped at the store, shut down, got back in, turned the Key and Nothing....
Well "Nothing" is the prestart lights were on, I turned the key and all of the lights went dim. Waited a few seconds and the lights came back bright. There is a click of the starter seloniod but then nothing. Tried to Jumpstart and got the same results.
Had the car towed to the house, removed the starter, took it to AutoZone "MISTAKE #1" they tested it and found it bad OF COURSE! Bought new one, installed it and the same thing is going on.
I can turn the engine over, so no siezed engine. The battery is reading 12.77Vdc.
Could my Ignition switch cause these problems? Im WAS having some small difficulty with it not fully springing back to the "Run" position after start which made me manually return it to that position to move the gear shift out of PARK.
Thanks for the HELP!!!!!

Starting Problem.....
You said "all your lights went dimmed", I suspect the ground connection. Check that the thick blue cable from battery - pole has a good connection at the battery to the chassi and follow it all the way to the connection at the engine block. It is rather often broken, caused of the vibrations in the engine.
A simple way of checking the ground is to messure between the - pole of the battery and the engine block. It should of cource be equal , 0 volt DC. Try to start and continue to messure, if you can read several volt, you have a ground problem.
