940's stiiiiiif suspension

My 1992 940's ride is quite stiff and hard, and I feel every bump. (I actually experienced the same thing with a previous 740.) The shocks seem OK, but I'd like a cushier ride. Well, actually, my wife would like a cushier ride. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? Are there special shocks, or spring treatments, or whatever, that would smooth out the 940's ride? Thanks.

... I should clarify that I'm interested in improving the entire ride of the car, not just making it softer. If that means shocks, struts, etc., I'd love to hear any advice on how to make this car ride like new again. Thanks. - Chris
