98's all used Bosch (all ME 4.4 systems). 99+ non-turbos had a Denso system.

Will be getting a Bosch 15097. The car is Stage 0 plus a new radiator so I'm willing to throw down the extra cash for the right part. I'm not looking to have to do this again anytime soon!

I replaced my front O2 sensor over the weekend, PB Blaster works great to loosen it up. For me the hardest part was getting to & disconnecting the electrical plug. You have to unclip it from the metal bracket, slide out a brown tab from the side, then the connector will come out. Probably would have helped if I had the car raised higher (I got it from underneath). You could also remove the large air hose that goes down to the turbo. With all that stuff in the way - very difficult access ....
I did use the Bosch 15097 - cleared the P0133 code.

Thanks for the replacement report. My part arrives tomorrow and will be tackling the job this weekend. I have heard getting to the plug is a bear, especially on a turbo. I'll have it up on ramps and may move the air pipe out of the way as I'm planning to replace the harness also.

If you can work it loose from the bracket from behind the transmission at the bottom, pulling the entire wiring harness up into reach from the top makes the plug MUCH easier to separate.

Replaced the O2 sensor today. Turns out someone had put in an aftermarket cheap-o. No wonder I was getting codes.
Put that car up on ramps and accessed it all from underneath. Things were just too cramped from above and I didn't want to take off the intake pipe. Turns out that access is pretty good from below due to multiple angles to work from. If you explore all the places you can get your hands around the transmission it is a fairly easy job (this is on a manual).
What took me the longest was unplugging the wrong one first! I thought I was unplugging the black plug for the front, but when I pulled it out it was the gray rear O2.
Thanks to everyone for helping get this sorted out.

Well I guess you'll have to add me to the crim connector camp.
