will this turbo control valve from ipd work on a 94?

i have a 94 850 turbo wagon and http://www.ipdusa.com/products/4764/113 ... -p2-models this turbo control valve is listed for all Volvo's but the 850. i see it supports the 98 v70 and p80 platforms. why is 850 not listed? is it not compatible or what? If it isn't compatible is there any other place i can get a aftermarket tcv like the one from IPD?

No.

It will work on some 850's that share the M4.4 computer with S70's (96-97 models with an air pump), but yours is M4.3 and it's programmed differently.

Word was they were working on one for the 850, but that was some time ago.

I just recently asked iPD this same question and they told me that this one will not work but they are still working on the 850 model.

I run a late V70 turbo control valve on my 850 ok mines a 97 plate so the last of the last but I cannot see why it won't work on your 94 one, I know for certain they do not work on the really early UK Spec T5's

It seems some dealers really don't know what will and wont work on T5's If it were me I'd buy it then if it didnt work either send it back or stick it on here or some other sales place to get your cash back

Unfortunately all 850s are not the same. The 94 850 is running Motronic 4.3 while the later ones are running Motronic 4.4. The later software is the same as what is in the early S/V70.
