Fog Lamp Indicator

Post by apache31 »

1997 850 220k miles

The Fog Lamp Indicator on my dash is lit. I replaced all rear lights and it's still on. Front lights are all operational as well.

Note: I only have one rear fog lamp as I understand it. Looking at the lens covers, the driver side has space for a bulb and the passenger side does not (it's blocked off).

Any clues as to why fog lamp indicator is lit after I have changed all of the bulbs?

Thank you in advance.
Rich

Is the single fog bulb in the rear, illuminated? That is the only time the fog lamp indicator comes on in my car - maybe the switch is broken. Or switched on (!).

Just to be clear, so your car does not have front fogs or a switch for them?

The switch was flipped on. Guess one of the kids in there goofing around. I have never use that switch or the lights for that matter. Thanks for your help.

It is good to use the rear fog light in FOG. It only has 1 light to help people see you and not to be confused with brake lights. The switch lights up when they are on.
