There is no protocol per se, but giving thanks is always appropriate.

Most of the folks here are Volvo enthusiasts who simply enjoy the conversations and the commonality of a shared interest.

Many get satisfaction helping people.

Saying thanks, sometimes, means a lot.

Yes it does mean a lot, and it adds to the overall professional appearance this forum has, and yes, it motivates us even further.
A kind word goes a long way.

Thanks!
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that

Feel free to do it again, if you need to. The main aim of the forum is to help where we can. Many problems posted by members have been encountered before by others and usually we can point you in the right direction.

Thanks are always appreciated and usually help to close a topic, allowing others to see what to do if that problem comes their way.

Bill.
