I'm chasing additional engine bay space and would like to move or delete the brake booster to achieve this.
Has anyone used a remote brake booster whilst maintaining the standard 242 braking circuit or alternatively, has anyone successfully deleted the booster and still maintained acceptable pedal pressure and braking performance. I know either option will involve fabrication but this won't be a problem.

Out of curiosity, what year is the car?
Regardless of its year I was brought up on cars with no power assist to the brakes and I would definitely not relish going back to those days, especially driving a heavy beast like the 240.
I have seen remote power assist kits fitted to several different models of car and they work well. However, a niggling doubt is telling me that with a split brake system you would need two remote boosters.
Bill.

There are a few different 240/260 brake boosters used over the 1975-1993 production. Some are deeper and narrower and others are lower profile and wider. V8 engine transplanters usually pick the one that yields clearance.
The older servo booster systems are very hard to come by in working condition and the space to mount of one of those might not be available on your car.
