Anyone ever have an issue with a Xemodex ETM where the throttle plate gets "wedged" shut an stuck? I had Xemodex send me a replacement because I thought that the ETM was bad. I found the plate stuck. I replaced it with the new one and all was well for a few hours. Now the car cranks, but won't start. It is acting EXACTLY as it was before the swap out. I have not checked, but think I may find the same stuck plate.
I tapped the plate on the old ETM an it now works as it should as far as the plate moving (it is not on the car obviously). Any ideas?

Is the throttle plate getting mechanically stuck closed, or is it because the servo motor does not have enough juice to move it open against the spring tension? Can you verify that your +12V supply voltage at the ETM connector is solid? No recessed or corroded pins and no loose negative (ground)?
If all checks, then the ETM's at fault.

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

No. Physically stuck. It took a tap with a screwdriver handle to free it. I am more interested in the cause of the problem. The stuck plate is a symptom.

Whatever the cause, I say it is INTERNAL to the ETM and is therefore covered under warranty, yes?
