Replace V8 starter motor

Hi everyone,

I've just been quoted $1250 AUD including labour to replace the starter motor on my V8 XC90. I can buy said started motor for $600. How difficult (or not) is to replace the started motor in the V8? I've done a similar job in much smaller, much older cars, but suspect this will be a little more tricky ...

Also interested to know if any other V8 owners have had starter motor issues - mine is only 4 years old and I'm disappointed that it's failed so soon.
