door handles stick on 240

the drivers side door handles catch on trying to open. You have to either pull up on the door lock or press on the interior door handle and at the same time use the outside door handle. sometimes it will work with the key and pulling the handle. I tried adjusting the barrel as they say in the Haynes book. It seemed a liitle better, but it still does not work right. Any help?

The cam on the door handle mechanisim is worn out. You can go to the JY and get one that is good. Take the old handle out and compair it to the one of the others on your car that is less used and you will see. Or you can swap one of the passenger door handles for the drivers door.
