Looking for some help with creating a new user.
Just bought a DVD with Vadis 2005A
I installed Vadis with no problems.
Entered the system user and password
But when I try to create new user I get and error that says "Security error when creating user information. Log off and try again"
Tried that several times. No luck. Reinstalled several times. All the same.
I also noticed that all installation instructions say use the customized install and select all components but then mine wants to install Securityletter and I did not get any of the information required for this.

A few thoughts...

You have to restart your computer after installing before logging in.

You have to run the Vadis.exe as an administrator. Not sure what operating system you are using, in most windows you can just right-click and edit properties, check the box "run as administrator". Vista gives the most trouble with this.

My instructions say "Enter your own user name and password. Select all information and international misc. in partner group. Then press "Create New User" and click OK. Then log back in to VADIS with your own user name and password."

(I am not sure what all of this refers to, it has been a while since I installed it.)

My copy says only compatible with 32 bit. If you are running on 64 bit, I am really not sure what to say, I have no experience getting 32 bit apps to work on a 64 bit machine.

Did you use:

User ID: SYSADM
Password: NQZ5-XC3E-P8HD-A2SU

As the credentials to login to set up the user ID and Password ?

Just a quick thought..."security error" could mean invalid password. I don't know the requirement for passwords. If it doesn't give any guidelines, try a password with at least 1 number and more than 6 characters.

I was just attempting to load vadis last night and Im having this exact same issue. Wont create a new user due to the "Security error when creating user information. Log off and try again" I've tried resetting the computer and still the same. Anyone have a solution for this at all?

Success!!!! My old laptop was Win XP SP1. I had a copy of Win XP Prof SP3 floating around so I done a clean install of XP and reloaded Vadis. Its now working, so Im happy
