Coolant temperature sensor replacement

Post by Shemp »

Hello,
I'm replacing the coolant temp sensor and thermostat in my 99 v70xc, and I'm wondering if there is a gasket or anything that has to go on the temperature sensor when it is screwed back into the thermostat housing to keep it from leaking, or is one not needed? Thanks
Kevin

Didn't come with one, I'll have to go back to the dealer, need to get replacement screws for the thermostats housing anyway. Thanks

Reuse the old one! Be sure to reset adaptives by disconnecting neg cable on batt. And touch the pos and neg cables together, or hit brake peddle
